My 2021 Word

Well 2020 was a funny old year. It was super hard but we got through and all achieved so much more than we realised.

Despite everything I:

  • went back to work after a major depressive episode
  • achieved Team Manager in my Body Shop at Home business
  • sold more of my craft items than ever before
  • connected with some fabulous woman.

If you take a moment to think about some of the things you achieved I hope it makes you realise what a rock star you are.

Going forward I’ve got lots of exciting things planned for 2021 with my word for the year KIND.
I want to use my business as a force for good. I’m going to achieve this in lots of different ways such as buying from small businesses where possible and being more mindful in choosing materials for my crafting.

I’m continuing with Body Shop at Home as part of my business. Everyone needs to bath, shower and wash their hair and as a B Corp Body Shop uses its business as a force for good, from choice of raw materials to supporting communities through the Community Fair Trade programme and its activism. I regularly post about these activities and projects on my Facebook page so do pop over and follow me.

But most of all I’m going to be kind to ME! In all the little ways with those tiny habits that add up. Drink more water, eat healthy food but don’t deprive myself of the odd bit of chocolate and most of all look after my mental health.

You’ll be seeing more of me this year and I’ll be opening a monthly slot for other crafters and business women to share their stories. I’d love to hear your word for 2021 so do share below in the comments.

  1. What a fabulous choice of word. I think my word for 2021 is “try”.
There are so many things I want to do and haven’t in the past through fear so I’m going to try. After all, what’s the worst that can happen?
